RAHI Foundation is India’s only centre for women survivors of incest and child sexual abuse (CSA). Based in new Delhi and now Kolkata, RAHI’s pioneering work has developed a powerful voice that strives to mainstream the discussion on incest/CSA in India. Now, as part of its 20th year celebrations RAHI invited Kolkata to be part of this discussion through a performance project that used creative shadow stories and Forum Theatre to bring the issue of incest/CSA ‘out of the shadows’ in Kolkata. A selected group of Kolkata’s youth from various colleges came together to collaborate with Artsforward and Jhalapala and work really hard to understand the intricacies of this issue and prepare to become catalysts of change.
